    I use an old, black, Piper Gear backpack that has a zippered compartment that acts as a lunchbox and can be zipped open to make more room inside the main pack, comes with a removable fanny pack and the pack straps have a sternum strap to keep it secured to my body. Been with me for a long time and has deployed with me all over the world, a faithful companion every time…

    for my lightweight loadout I use a 2.5 liter hydration pack from ARES. I modified it so that I can put a 3 liters in it and I added some pouches as well.

    If I need to carry more than that I use a British PCLE backpack.

    My current backpack is not very “tactical”, but it has held up better than any other backpack I have ever owned. It is a large red Columbia backpack that looks just like a school backpack so it doesn’t attract much attention. Plus I got it as a gift for the low price of zero dollars. I do plan on getting some new packs that are more tactical and rugged.

    My EDC pack is a National Guard promotional item distributed by my former employer and manufactured by Jansport. It’s pretty much a basic ol’ backpack in UCP. Clearly, I could use an upgrade. 🙂

    Currently, using a 5.11 Select Carry Sling Pack, which is very useful for everyday usage, but a MOAB would be a nice addition, can never have too many backpacks on hand.

    I’ve been saving up for one, not sure just which one yet. There are a lot of really good designs out there. I’ve been depending on an old Blackhawk Attache, which is discrete, but I need something better.

    My main one is a black and blue Targus, mainly use it when I’m hauling the laptop and or just a ton of crap as it can hold a lot. My other regular use backpack is a really old Eastport pack that is on the smaller size, good for a few text books and the like.

    Camelbak 3 Color Desert Raptor Pack. Got it from an Uncle in a 3 letter agency who brought it with him to investigate the USS Cole bombing, to Afghanistan (the same time I was deployed there) and a few other places, and I brought it with my gear to Iraq in 2009-2010 for my second tour. Simple, holds all my gear, has a reservoir, andf extra storage for all I need for a 72 hour patrol
