Tritton has a new set of headsets out for those of you who’re jonesing for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. It uses Dolby Surround 7.1 technology to create the “immersive feeling of high-end home theater setups.” I don’t know if the “3D sound field” will give you a competitive edge, but it will certainly improve the sense that you’ve been transported into the war zone. Not to be too much of a FPS Nerd, but headphones really do make a difference. Not sure if the Tritton 7.2s make 2.1 of difference over my 5.1 Turtle Beach X41s, but headphones let you locate sounds, including campers, running knifers, Jesus Grenades, noob tubers, roving helicopters and other assorted annoyances of FPS games much better than most stereo systems.
