Hell Hath No Fury Like DoubleStar’s New “Crashete”

Thursday, January 12th, 2017

Crashete

Martial arts practitioner and weapon designer, Robert H. Cabrera of Filo Bladeworks, creates the next generation in edged-weapons.

Winchester, Ky. (January 2017) – DoubleStar Corp, manufacturers of high-quality, US-made AR components, rifles and pistols, reveal the Fury “Crashete”. We coined this term to accurately describe the Fury’s capability. Although the Fury’s gene pool harkens back to sugar cane and brush clearing machetes, its modern re-engineering puts it in the class of the perfect everyday tool and personal protection.

Most production machetes are made from .089″ – .125″ thick spring steel, but DoubleStar went instead with .285″ thick S7 tool steel. This steel gives the Fury’s blade a high impact toughness and resistance to shock load. Heavy enough for light breaching but still lightweight enough at 1 lb. 12 oz. to be comfortably carried on your person. Measuring just 18.25″ long, the Fury gives you reach while still being useful in close quarter situations. MSRP of the Fury is $499.99.

“Our customers have been asking us to release a semi-auto bullpup for quite some time and with the BullMaster, HatsanUSA is delivering in a big way. The rifle features a bullpup-style stock, with an “EasyAdjust” Elevation Comb, which allows shooters to adjust the elevation of the comb with the push of a button.

The BullMaster also utilizes HatsanUSA’s patented anti-knock system, which prevents discharge and wastage when the rifle is knocked or bounced.

SIG SAUER Introduces the 1911 Spartan BB Pistol

Monday, January 9th, 2017

1911-spartan-bbgun_left

Newington, NH (January 9, 2017) – SIG SAUER, Inc. is pleased to introduce the 1911 Spartan BB Pistol. Modeled after the 1911 Spartan centerfire pistol, this CO2-powered, semi-automatic 1911-style BB pistol features a unique bronze finish. The slide is engraved with the original Greek words ‘MOLON LABE’ which means ‘Come and Take Them’, and the grip is emblazoned with the Spartan helmet. This high-performance air pistol also features a full-metal slide and frame with realistic blowback action of the metal slide and a 16-round magazine which holds 4.5mm steel BBs. The 1911 Spartan BB Pistol also fits in current 1911 holster systems and has the same weight and controls of a traditional 1911 firearm, making it ideal for training.

“Training is a must for all shooters, regardless of skill level, and this new SIG SAUER 1911 Spartan BB Pistol is an effective training tool for beginners and experts alike,” said Joseph Huston, vice president and general manager of the SIG SAUER Airgun Division. “Our airguns are an inexpensive alternative to live-fire training for those who want to practice but can’t make it to the range as often as they would like, and the fact that the 1911 Spartan BB Pistol fits in a regular 1911 holster allows shooters to practice drawing in addition to accuracy. Shooting enthusiasts are really embracing SIG SAUER airguns as an additional method of training, and these airguns are also an excellent way to teach beginners firearm safety and how to shoot for the very first time.”

The 1911 Spartan BB Pistol has the same skeletonized trigger as its centerfire counterpart. There is also a cam lever CO2 loading port for easy and quick loading of the 12gr CO2 cartridges. The 1911 Spartan

BB Pistol shoots up to 410 fps; however, velocity results may vary depending on temperature and altitude.

Like the 1911 Max Michel BB Pistol, the 1911 Spartan BB Pistol gives newer shooters the ability to learn firearm safety and basic fundamentals in a controlled, comfortable, quiet, and safe environment. It removes the intimidation factor of the loud noise and recoil, leaving the newer shooter more confident and with a much better understanding of traditional firearms and their safe use.

MSRP: $110.99

“I’ve been crafting as a hobby for years now, and I wanted to start creating items for others to enjoy as well,” says Janelle James, founder of Ready Aim Craft. “I love being able to sort through a box of spent shotgun shells, that most people throw away, and turn them into unique pieces of art.”

“Most customers are shopping Ready Aim Craft because they’re searching for something special,” she continues. “I’ve created American Flags for husbands and brothers coming home from Afghanistan, as well as Thin Blue Line flags for family members graduating from the Police Academy. I’m humbled each and every time someone chooses one of my items to give as a gift, for occasions far more celebratory than the standard birthday or holiday.”

Ready Aim Craft’s iconic piece of art, the Shotgun Shell American Flag, was recently added to the museum/art collection at Lock & Load Miami, a premier machine gun shooting range in downtown Miami. “[It] looks fantastic and a lot of our customers have already given us positive feedback,” says Andy Serafine of Lock & Load Miami.

Future plans for the shop include participation in a variety of C&E Gun Shows through the Pennsylvania area and Catoction Colorfest later this year.

SIG SAUER® Introduces New P320® Advanced Sport Pellet Air Pistol

Wednesday, January 4th, 2017

Newington, NH (January 4, 2017) – SIG SAUER, Inc., designer and manufacturer of the world’s most reliable firearms, optics, ammunition, airguns and accessories, adds to its world-class Advanced Sport Pellet (ASP) line of airguns with the introduction of the new P320 CO2-powered pistol. This semi-automatic .177 caliber ASP pistol is the first air pistol in the world to feature a 30-round belt magazine and is designed to look and feel like the highly-acclaimed SIG SAUER P320 centerfire pistol. Weight and trigger pull are virtually identical offering recreational shooters, professionals and competitive shooters another outstanding training tool to easily hone their shooting skills at greatly reduced costs.

“The SIG SAUER P320 has been extremely well received by law enforcement, recreational shooters and competitive shooters alike, and customers have been asking for a pellet version of this pistol since we introduced our very first airguns,” said Joseph Huston, vice president and general manager of the SIG SAUER Airgun Division. “The industry has truly embraced our ASP air rifles and air pistols as excellent training tools when the cost of ammunition, lack of range time or other factors prevent people from training with their centerfire guns as much as they would like or feel they should. We are committed to producing these high-quality, CO2-powered alternatives that make it easy for people to train in their back yards.”

The P320 ASP air pistol features a metal slide with realistic blowback action and polymer frame in addition to a smooth slide safety. This air pistol is double-action only, has a front blade sight, fixed rear sight and an accessory rail which allows easy mounting of a laser or tactical flashlight. The 12gr CO2 cartridge is inserted and removed through a compartment in the side of the grip. Velocity is up to 450 fps; however, velocity results may vary depending on pellet weight, temperature and altitude. The P320 ASP air pistol also shoots steel BBs in addition to pellets and is available in two colors – Black or Coyote Tan.

MSRP: $119.99

O P Tactical Introduces War Department T-Shirt

Making War Great Again

O P Tactical figured since we were getting a real warrior as Secretary of Defense, they ought to celebrate the event by offering a War Department T-shirt, complete with the original logo. For those of you unfamiliar, the current Department of Defense (Initially named the National Military Establishment) was created 70 years ago in 1947, during the post-WW II reorganization of the National Defense Act. Before that, there was a War Department and a Navy Department.
