The Universal Knife Sheath from Tactical Tailor offers a versatile carrying option for most 6″ fixed blade tactical knives; pictured is the Benchmade Nimravus. Available in two versions: the standard dedicated leg rig, and the MALICE clip version which can be attached to modular webbing and features a resin impregnated nylon backer. The sheath comes with a removable injection molded felt lined sleeve that also allows for drainage. The Universal Knife Sheath is available in Black, Coyote Brown, and MultiCam.
This Kydex tribute to one of the most awesome (yet admittedly over-hyped) bounty hunters ever to grace the Science Fantasy genre is sadly not for sale.
LBT has started the practice of putting up one item for sale every Friday starting at 1200 for a period of 24 hours. This week its the Modular Sustainment Pouch. It’s large sized and perfect for carrying a variety of items, from personal hygiene items to cleaning gear.

The Ferro Concepts Kydex Triple Shingle I posted about awhile ago has an official designation now: FC-M4-KTS.
This is the Triple Kydex Shingle by Ferro Concepts. It’s designed to curve to body armor or the user’s shape and fits most kangaroo pouches, giving the user fast access to three magazines. The Kydex inserts have holes punched in them for weight savings and are removable.
The tactical shot pouch is designed to hold a standard hip-flask with a capacity of 240 ml (8 oz). PALS webbing allows for attachment on MOLLE gear while a wide Velcro flap secures the flask to prevent accidental falling and a D-ring allows for easy opening and attaching small objects. Velcro on the flap allows for the attachment of morale patches. Available in the following colors: olive green, black, flecktarn, woodland, MultiCam, DPM, coyote, wz.93, red, CCE, snow.
The AFCR, or Air Flow Chest Rig, is Ferro Concepts’ latest product. The main body is constructed from heavyweight mesh. PALS webbing covers the front, and binding tape PALS webbing lines the back of the AFCR for non-load bearing pouches. Attachment methods include G-HOOKS for a low profile and quick on-and-off attachment method to the chest, attachment points for shoulder straps, wide-mouth buckles for attachment to a MOLLE cummerbund, and webbing adapters for use on any standard MOLLE vest. It is also designed to mount directly onto Ferro Concepts’ own FCPC (Ferro Concepts Plate Carrier). Currently available in: MultiCam, Coyote Brown, Desert Digital, and AOR 2.

Crosstac is a company that offers a wide range of high-quality firearms accessories and related products including armorer’s tools, shooting bags, shooting mats, slings, belts, and binoculars accessories. One of their many impressive products is an underslung picatinny rail attachment for AR-15s that makes use of the oft-ignored bayonet lug. They also offer a line of company-themed apparel. Their entire product line is made or printed in the USA.
The Tank Vest is a modular, PALS webbing based storage system that allows users to attach MOLLE and ALLICE gear to their motorcycle to improve storage capacity. Tank Vests are made from 1000 denier Cordura nylon and uses a system of military grade straps and synthetic buckles to attach to the tank frame. This separates the Tank Vest from other storage options that use magnets or require drilling into the bike’s frame. A feature also unique to the Tank Vest is it fits around the gas cap, negating the need to remove the vest during refueling. Currently, Tank Vests are being made for Kawasaki KLR650, KTM950/990 Adventure motorcycles, some models of Harley Davidson, the XR650R, and the Boulevard 800, with a vest for the Vstrom 1000 coming out mid-September; more models are being made based on customer demand.
The Tank Vest is available in the following colors: Black, Coyote Brown, Woodland MARPAT, ACU, MultiCam, OD Green, and Safety Orange.

Here’s an AP pic from the set of ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’, the fifth movie in the ‘Die Hard’ series, which features the Maxpedition Sovereign Load-Out Duffel; other Maxpedition gear will be featured in the movie. In regards to the title of the upcoming ‘Die Hard’ sequel: yeah, the title’s a bit of a groaner, but hopefully it’ll be better than the last one.
As you all know, we here at Tactical Fanboy love, among other things, tactical gear. After all, it’s in the name. That’s why we want to highlight Maxpedition, an innovator in tactical gear design and production for military, law enforcement, and ourdoorsmen and women.

Original SOE is doing a run of their shaving kit pouches, which they haven’t done for quite a while. Might think about getting ya one, it’ll last about forever.
Long-time Tactical Fanboy reader and frequent smartass comment-putter-inner Red2Alpha has done a review of the High Speed Gear Inc. tactical baseball cap on Military.com. We’ve got some op-ed coming up from R2A here ourselves, all featuring startlingly big words and they’re not even drawn out in crayon. Watch for that next week. Read the review; buy a hat.
Judging from the eyebrows and hair, this is either Sam Elliot or Mean Gene Higdon.
Check out this video from a dedicated MilSim Airsofter. It looks over all the standard features of the Crye Precision JPC. He says we’ll be some additional videos in the near future showing the different pouches and modular pieces mounted to it.
Platatac just posted a picture of a new rig on their Facebook wall. It’s a niche piece of kit but they’re wondering if anyone else would be interested in it. Go check it out, let ‘em know what you think. Many people are unaware that the Australian company frequently builds small batches of specialized kit that never goes out on their commercial site. If they make just a few dozen it might cost as much as $400. If they manufacture over a hundred the price could be cut in half. Go check it out. (Platatac’s website at http://www.platatac.com/)

Warrior Laboratories is a gear review site that covers gear in such varied categories as Vests and Plate Carriers, K-9 Gear and Sharp and Pointy Things. (I enjoy the latter category most, largely because of the name.) The staff of Warrior Laboratories appear to be law enforcement, with a strong background in tactical operations, K9 operations, firearms instruction and (off duty) outdoor pursuits. You might check ‘em out.
