PORTLAND, OREGON (July 25th, 2017) – GERBER, an industry-leading manufacturer of personal knives, multi-tools, and gear, announces the introduction of the new Sharkbelly. This smartly designed knife is an update to the classic everyday carry pocket knife with lightweight utility and standout features. Designed and built in Gerber’s Portland, Oregon manufacturing facility, this American made knife is available in partially serrated and full fine edge blade variations.

The 420HC modern sheepsfoot-style blade is easily deployed with a sizable thumb hole, revealing flat top serrations that are easy to sharpen on a flat stone and practical for daily use. The tactile SharkSkin Grip™ succeeds in function and aesthetics with unidirectional scales that provide additional traction when in hand – smooth in one direction and grippy in the other.

The SharkBelly’s scratch-resistant wire pocket clip means it can be worn anywhere without worry of causing damage to a car, bike, or other valuables you might brush up against, and weighing in at just under 2.3 oz, it has a place in any pocket or pack.

Learn more about the Sharkbelly here. $39, available now.

SHOT Show 2016 – Gerber Gear

Strongarm Fixed Blade

The Strongarm is one of Gerber’s most popular fixed blade knives. It consists of a full tang 420 HC steel blade, with a rubberized diamond-texture grip. The Strongarm comes complete with a multi-mount, MOLLE-compatible sheath.

Available in Black and Tan handle finishes, and with or without blade serration.

Ghoststrike Fixed Blade w/ Ankle Wrap Sheath

Gerber’s Ghoststrike is a fixed blade knife with a drop point, fine edge blade, made of 420 HC ceramic coated steel. The handle is skeletonized, with a rugged texture for a sure grip. The Ghoststrike can be purchased with an ankle wrap holster, which allows for the Ghoststrike to be utilized as a concealed and/or backup blade.

Freescape Camp Kitchen Kit

A bit different than the other offerings I checked out at the booth, the Freescape Camp Kitchen Kit is nonetheless worth taking a look at. The Camp Kitchen Kit comes with the Camp Kitchen and Paring Knives, a built-in ceramic sharpener, locking drawer, and drip channel around the board. The case itself is bright green, which matches the handle accents of the included knives, and makes it easy to identify.

39 Series Knives

The 39 Series is a collection of blades that hearkens back to Gerber’s start as a blade maker. The 39 Series features a 420 HC steel blade, and a cero-coated stainless steel handle. The blades will be available in sizes Small and Large, in Black, Gold, and Silver finishes. These are an “indie-dealer” exclusive, so you won’t be seeing these at any big-box retailer.

Be on the lookout for the 39 Series Knives later this year.

SHOT Show 2015 – Gerber

Thursday, January 22nd, 2015

The Vital series was introduced as Gerber’s new introductory hunting line. It consists of multiple tools with replaceable blades, and orange handles and frames for visibility. Tools in the line include the Skin & Gut Knife, Take-a-Part Shears, and Pack Saw.

Gator Premium is an upgrade to the iconic Gator line, which features blades made from S30V steel. The handles of these new knives have a scaly texture very much inspired by their namesake, and they also come with similarly textured sheaths. Only the fixed blade has the metal pommel, although both knives feature lanyard holes. Not pictured are the GH models with a hooked point.

In the image above, you can compare the new Gator Premium Folder CP (top) to the original Gator Folder (bottom).

Here’s the Premium Folder and Fixed knives in their sheaths. This new line is designed and built in Portland, Oregon.

This is the Short Stack. It’s a complete AR-15 armorer’s tool in an extremely compact package. In fact, at the booth it was displayed as fitting inside Magpul MOE and MIAD grips. Rather than unfold in a traditional manner, the tool is held together with a rubber stop as well as magnetically, and each component can be individually separated. It contains the following components:

– Windage elevation sight tool
– Firing pin scraper
– Buffer tube wrench
– Cleaning cable pull handle
– 4mm wrench
– T10 torx
– #0 cross driver
– Bolt carrier & bolt scrapper
– 1/2″, 1/4″, 3/8″, and 3/4″ wrenches

The Span Shotgun tool, which features 12 tools in one solid state, which itself separates into two separate components. It features the following:

– 1/4″ standard bit tip driver
– Bit tip storage
– Torque generating design
– 6 bit tips
– pin punch
– 3x hex wrench
– choke tube wrench
– bottle opener

The Airfoil is a folding knife, with a fine edge, T-shaped thumb studs, and a pocket clip. It’s very light weight at only 2.2 oz., and has a very smooth open action.

The Skyridge is an assisted open knife with a fine edge blade, dual thumb studs, and a pocket clip.
